Tomorrow morning is Fisher's 5th birthday. I'm cutting out red "5"s to make a path from the kitchen to his new red big wheel in the living room. My love for this kid is so huge, so powerful. I'm giddy with anticipation for his excitement on this extra special day. This is exactly why I have to survive this crazy disease.
Holy smokes, am I really writing this blog? Ok, here it goes. As you may already have heard, yesterday (April 20, 2010), I was officially diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. We are scared out of our minds, but have to keep our eye on the prize of getting past this and back to our normal lives again, which is what we are going to do. They say you don't realize how much you are loved until something like this happens. I'm already seeing that in a big way. I promise to keep you updated via this Blog. We send our love and ask for lots of prayers and positive energy to help us through this next year. Don't worry too much, I promise to get better :) love kristin and nick
